Family/Joint Membership
Joint membership of the Kent Archaeological Society is ideal for two people living at the same address who share an interest in the archaeology and history of Kent. This membership allows both individuals to enjoy the benefits of Society membership while receiving the Society’s publications, including the latest issues of Archaeologia Cantiana and the KAS Magazine. These publications offer authoritative articles, excavation reports, and updates on research and discoveries across the county, helping members stay informed about new developments in Kentish archaeology and heritage.
Joint members can also take advantage of the Kent Archaeological Society Library and Archive at Maidstone Museum. This specialist collection contains books, journals, excavation reports, historic maps, and archival material relating to the archaeology and local history of Kent. It provides a valuable resource for research, study, and personal interest, whether members are exploring local history, undertaking independent research, or simply deepening their understanding of the county’s past.
A key advantage of joint membership is the reduced rate of £60 per year, offering a cost-effective way for two people to participate in the Society. Both members benefit from regular notifications about lectures, conferences, field visits, and other events organised throughout Kent. Joint members can also take advantage of lower ticket prices for many KAS conferences and events, making it easier to attend talks, meetings, and site visits together while becoming part of a wider community dedicated to studying and preserving Kent’s heritage.
Family/Joint membership costs £60 per year.
