Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Membership is available to groups and societies carrying out work similar to that of the Kent Archaeological Society. Through this membership, affiliated organisations receive copies of the Society’s publications, including Archaeologia Cantiana and the KAS Magazine, ensuring that their members remain informed about the latest archaeological research, discoveries, and activities taking place across Kent.

Affiliate groups are also able to take part in the Society’s governance and wider activities. Each affiliated organisation may nominate a representative to attend and vote at the Society’s general meetings, allowing them to contribute to discussions and decisions about the Society’s work and future direction. This helps strengthen collaboration between local societies, research groups, and heritage organisations across the county.

In addition, affiliated groups can make use of the Society’s survey equipment, including GNSS and magnetometer systems, to support archaeological fieldwork and research projects. Members of affiliate organisations can also usually benefit from the same discounted rates for KAS conferences, lectures, and events as individual members, helping to encourage wider participation and cooperation in the study and preservation of Kent’s archaeology and history.

Affiliate Membership costs £50 per year.
