Research data hosting

KAS Archaeological Services provides preservation of digital research archives, inclusion in the Society’s offline Digital Archive; indexed on the Society website and made available to researchers on request.

Data Preservation

In addition to the publications made available on the Kent Archaeological Society website, an offline Digital Archive supplements the Society’s 150-year physical archive. We offer the addition of primary and secondary digital archive material to the KAS Digital Archive, ensuring access to researchers on request both remotely and at the KAS Library at Maidstone Museum.

Indexing and Curation

Each file within the offline Digital Archive is indexed on the Kent Archaeological Society website and curation for publication is available as a service to ensure that data remains searchable, meaningful, and compatible with evolving digital standards and research frameworks.

Online Publication

Selected research outputs and summaries are published on the Society’s website to enhance public and academic engagement. These publications offer open access to key findings, supporting wider understanding of the county’s rich archaeological heritage.
