The next Smarden History talk is by Geoff Mead and tells the story of our channel coast and the reasons why it looks the way it does today.
The Channel coast from Hampshire into Kent features a wide range of landscapes. There are the cliffs, saltmarshes, sand dunes and river mouths, but also human landscapes of piers, promenades, and ports.
This fascinating talk looks these coastal features and the how geology and geography come together to influence history.
Join us at the Charter Hall from 6:45 pm on Thursday 21st May. The talk starts at 7:30 pm and as always guests are very welcome.
