Ann Isenberg
Ann is both a commercial and volunteer archaeologist participating in a number of projects across Kent particularly in the Darent Valley (notably the DVLP and Discover Roman Otford Project where she is a trustee) as well as being a member of ODAS. Ann supports post-excavation work and is developing an understanding of medieval CBM forms and Roman pottery. In addition she sits on the CBA South-East Committee with joint responsibility for their newsletter. She is also an education volunteer with English Heritage at their Lullingstone Roman Villa site. Academically she graduated in 2024 from the University of Leicester with a BA (First Class Hons) in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology and will begin her Masters in 2025. When studying her areas of focus are on understanding the economic nature of rural Roman sites and their potential multi-function use.
Before moving into archaeology full-time Ann spent her early working career in human resources within both professional and financial services based in the UK, US and Middle East. When not on a site somewhere Ann is trying to learn Latin and enjoys being a member of a classics club.
