Lees Court Estate mystery object

A #mystery object from our work on the Lees Court Estate earlier this year.

Similar items have been recorded on the The Portable Antiquities Scheme database as unidentified objects.

There is a stamped word across the front face reading "Patent". Other examples recorded feature a Royal Cypher suggesting an official use. Potentially it could be linked to military activity.

Measurements: 37.1mm long, 1.5mm thick, 21.8mm wide, 5g in weight.

What do you think it might be?
