Archaeology Research Group Fieldwork Grant

The KAS’s Archaeology Research Group (ARG) offers a fieldwork grant for research and projects focusing on the archaeology of the ancient county of Kent.

Funding of up to £1000 can be applied for from the ARG, with larger sums requiring trustee approval. Grants over £600 will require the name and address of a referee who may be approached to confirm the good standing of the applicant.

For more information and to apply please visit the website:

In view of the restricted funds at the Society’s disposal, it may be necessary to apportion available money for research among several applicants, resulting in each receiving less than the amount requested. Careful consideration will be given to the respective merits of each application with preference being given to smaller organisations and individuals.
