Update from the Society Membership Secretary

I am pleased to report that there continues to be a steady increase in membership and encouraging feedback from members regarding our recent conference, outreach and engagement activities. We have welcomed over 10 new members in the past month.

Membership fees remain the same:

  • Individual Membership – £40 per annum

  • Family / Joint Membership – £60 per annum

  • Affiliate Membership – £50 per annum

  • Institution Subscription – £45 per annum

We are delighted to say that our offices at Marsham Street are now reopened and fully restored. We will be welcoming volunteers back very soon.

Our three conferences this year were all a fantastic success, with great turnouts and very good feedback. You will find detailed reports on the conferences in this edition of the magazine:

  • The Historic Buildings Group Conference

  • Metal Detecting in Kent: Moving Forward Together

  • Thanet & Northeast Kent Fieldwork Conference

Our events programme is constantly being updated — see the website for further details:

We would like to make members, and those considering membership, aware that fees can now be paid on a monthly basis. If this would be beneficial to you, or you are aware of anyone who would like to join the Society, do get in touch.

Any non-members purchasing a ticket for our conferences in 2026 can take advantage of six months’ membership for an additional £20. Contact us for further details.

Details of all events, upcoming news and online talks will be distributed to all members.

If anyone is experiencing issues logging into the system, or any of the Society’s special access areas, please contact me at:
