I currently have 21 books in print on Roman and Classical world themes, some award winners and best sellers. For example, my Roman Britain’s Missing Legion was a BBC History Book of the Year in 2021, while my Sea Eagles of Empire was the Military History Matters book of the year in 2017. I have two books due to be published in 2025, first Agricola in Scotland through Pen & Sword, and later, The African Emperor, about Septimius Severus through Icon Books.
I frequently appear on broadcast media as a presenter and expert. I have recently completed two terms as a Trustee of the Council for British Archaeology and am a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.
I am very excited to become a Trustee of the Kent Archaeological Society, where I hope my professional background working in public relations, public affairs and the media will prove of use. I also aim to continue my work with the gifted archaeological teams working on various projects throughout the County, and further afield.
