Lost and Found: Hidden Histories of Canterbury’s Stained Glass

  • Canterbury Cathedral Lodge 24 Burgate Canterbury, England, CT1 2HA United Kingdom (map)

There will be a stained glass study day next month, on 10 November. Bookings are now open on our website - Hidden Histories of Canterbury’s Stained Glass

Over the centuries, Canterbury Cathedral’s stained glass has been damaged through acts of vandalism, iconoclasm and the destructive forces of war, and also through neglect and even theft. Complementing the exhibition currently in our Viewing Gallery, this study day will combine visits to the Stained Glass Studio and the Archives reading room with talks from leading experts in their field. Speakers include Professor Paul Binski (University of Cambridge), Professor Rachel Koopmans (University of York, Toronto) and Leonie Seliger (Director of the Stained Glass Studio).
