FORMIDABLE
Arthur Flint’s war against Tirpitz and the Kamikazes

Terry Crowdy

Friday 31st July 2026 at 7.30pm

The remarkable adventures of Artur Flint (the grandfather of tonight’s speaker) onboard the aircraft carrier HMS Formidable, during WWII. Determined to survive, Artur was harried by German U-boats and took part in the operations against the Tirpitz, before travelling to the Far East. With tales of kamikaze attacks and the dropping of the atomic bomb, his extraordinary exploits are sure to enthral our audience.
