Born and raised in Dartford I am a proud Kentish Man, despite that, most of my early academic and professional life was spent outside the county. After going to school in South London I embarked on a career in the City of London working for Chase Manhattan and JP Morgan as a Senior Researcher in their Corporate Finance departments for 16 years.

Following this, I pursed an ambition to live abroad and moved to Malaga in Andalucia, living there for 10 years. I ran several sales operations while continuing to work as a research consultant before adopting a new career as an English teacher, eventually progressing to Director of Studies. This instilled in me a passion for education and the possibilities that it can lead to.

After returning to the UK in 2014, I decide to go back to full-time education and completed an Access to Education Diploma before spending three years studying for a degree in Classical and Archaeological Studies at the University of Kent achieving first class honours and winning several academic prizes. I was also heavily involved in student engagement in both the academic department and the University as a whole as Faculty of Humanities Undergraduate Representative. I was proud to have been awarded Life and Honorary Membership of Kent Union in recognition of my contribution to student engagement.

During my time at Kent I was invited to participate in the focus group on the future direction of the KAS, particularly in regard to appealing to a larger and more diverse membership. I recognised a passionate group with a desire to improve and have spent three years working with the Trustees and Management Team on the future strategy. Having spent the three years as Brand and Communication Manager, a position now filled by Nicky Hammond, I took on responsibility for the fundraising and events while coordinating the outreach activities along with Richard Taylor. I have experience in marketing, business and education.

I am co-owner and Director of Darnley Archaeological Services Ltd which provides various archaeological support services.
