Curator Andy Ward shares an intruiging 'collar' from the Ozengell Anglo-Saxon collection.

Myself and our new student placement Niamh have been busy cataloging more of the Ozengell Anglo-Saxon collection this week.
Today's star object is this small, iron and copper alloy 'collar' from grave 94. Its unclear exactly what it was used for, but it does have some wonderfully preserved textiles on both its rim and inside.
Hopefully when it goes off to conservation we will be able to learn more about it.
