In response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this year's Festival will take place in two parts with a series of digital events in July and on the ground events in October.

From 11th to 19th July they will be running a digital Festival, with a programme of online events for people to take part in.

Then from 24th October to 1 November they will have a range of on the ground Festival events with various activities from local societies, museums, heritage organisations and other groups who will be offering the public the chance to find out more about archaeology.

This year the CBA Festival of Archaeology theme is Climate and Environment, something that we are becoming increasingly aware of as a society. During the Festival they CBA hopes to share some of the stories of environmental change and its impact on human activity from the Mesolithic through to the present day and highlight the effect our changing climate is having on archaeological sites today.
