As existing partners of Maidstone Museum, a relationship strengthened by a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Kent Archaeological Society is providing additional expertise and support towards establishing the Lives in Our Landscape (LiOL) gallery due to launch in Summer 2024.

KAS Curator Andy Ward is helping the museum team select objects covering 600,000 years of history for display, advising on their interpretation, and creating Geographic Information System (GIS) data for an interactive map that will be part of the gallery’s interactivity.

The KAS is delighted to continue its long association with Maidstone Museum at this exciting time and contribute to the Archaeology Gallery project board alongside key funders, The William and Edith Oldham Charitable Trust and the Maidstone Museums’ Foundation.
