ALICE FULCOMBE of the Towne and Porte of Hithe in Kent, widowe feeble in body etc. 14 March 1588. My body to the earth from whence it came. Vnto the poore of this Towne of Hithe 20s. to be distributed by the handes of my brother James Fulcombe. Vnto Mary Stylles my kynswoman £5. Vnto James Fulcombe my brother’s sonne £3 wt in one yeare after my decease. Vnto Alice Fulcombe my goddaughter 20s. and one of the two lesser chestes standinge in ye Hall chamber. Vnto Agnes Fowsden my husbandes sister £3 viz 20s. a yeare for 3 yeares. Vnto my sonne John Fulcombe my best bedstedle etc in the parlour chamber when 21 and a greate chest the best one, a runinge bedsted, a flock bed etc and a presse standinge in the Parlor Chamber. Vnto my sonne Nicholas Fulcombe a bedsted standinge in the parlor chamber etc and the best bedsted in the Hall Chamber and a great chest in the parlor chamber when 21. Vnto my daughter Suzan Fulcomb the other two bedstedes in the Hall Chamber, one broade box and the other two chestes in the parlour chamber, the best chest in the Hall chamber and a courte Table standing there, when 21. Also a ioyned Table wt a frame, 6 ioyned stooles, 3 cushins and a Byble. Vnto my three children John, Nicholas and Suzanne all my pewter, brasse, sheetes etc equally. Vnto my sonne Nicholas Fulcomb a Cowe in recompense of certeyne lambes and sheepe wch I soulde of his to be deliuered vnto him presentlie after my decease. I will my daughter Suzan Fulcombe shalbe paide as great a porcon of money as either of my sonnes at the age of 20 and my sonnes John and Nicholas at 21 by mine executors James Fulcombe my brother and John Fulcombe my sonne. I will my said executors shall receive all money now in occupacon and handes of Nicholas Saukyns of Liminge, as by specialtyes made from him appeareth at large, to the vse of my children. Witness: John Daunton, John Lake, Samuell Hickes and George Taylor.
