BARNABE POLLARD, of Haringe in ye Co. of Kent besicke of body etc., 15 Aprill (1589). My body to the earth. As touchinge my landes and tenement where I dwell I wholy giue it to Harry Pollarde my sonnes sonne, provided always and it is my will that Mary Dubbell my daughter shall not only receave ye proffitts therof but therin to dwell if her husband and she so please vnder this condicion that they pay the Lords rent and keep the reparations. Vnto Mary Dubbell my daughter all my moueable goods within my house except one bed furnished of the best with the stedle and my best coverlet wch I giue to Richard Dubbell my daughters sonne at the age of 21 and if he dye to remain to my sonnes sonne Henry. Reserved out of this gift to my daughter Mary I geve to Henry Pollard my sonnes sonne my longe table couberd and benches nowe setled in my hall and one bed and the stedle I lye on to remayne soe in my house tyll my sonnes sonne come to the possession: If he die without heires my landes to remaine to my daughters sonne Richard Dubbe (sic) and his heires. Vnto Mary my daughter 40s. a yeare so long as my couenant shalbe good between Mr. Rose and mee. Residue of all profitts and somes of money due according to the same couenant with Mr. Rose wch is yearly £16 shall be paid to the vse of my sonnes sonne to be paid to Mr. Robert Honywoode by his worship imployed to my sonnes sonne profitte. If Mary my daughter die before Ralph Dubbell her husband the 40s. a year shall remayne to Richard Duble my daughters sonne. I will my bords and faire stuf wth poles remayne to my house. If my sonnes sonne Henry Pollard die without heires the yearly portion to remayne in disposition of Mr. Honiwood to remayne to Richard Duble my daughters sone. Vnto Henry Pollard my sonnes sonne £20 of the £40 now in the hands of Mr. Gawne and Mr. Rose as by writing appeareth and the other £20 to Richard Duble when 21, Mr. Honiwood to have the oversight. Vnto the poore people of Charing 20s. at ye daie of my buriall. Vnto Calathiell Kinge my best cloake. I will Mr. Robert Honiwoode shall have 20s. for his goodwill. I will my friend Mr. Hudson 6s. 8d. for my funerall sermon. My will is and am surely persuaded that my sonne in lawe Ralph Doubell and my daughter will see me comly buryed. I appoint Mr. Robert Honiwoode my executor wth my sonnes sonne yf he please. I forgive Zalatheell Kyng 20s. Witnesses: Edward Hudson, Thos. Essen. 
Proved 17 June 1589 by John Baker proctor for executor. (266b Whitgift I).
NOTE: There is a Haringe Court in Sellindge parish. The Testator however appears to have been connected also with Charing. Mr. Edward Hudson was vicar of Charing 1586-1593. (Halsted Vol. III p. 220)
