First his Will was that his sonnes children lyvinge at the tyme of his decease wch were William, Richarde, Danyell, Robert, George, Christian and Elynor Halpennye euerye of them should haue 20s. apeece. Alsoe he did geve vnto his daughters children lyvinge at the time of his decease 20s. His mynde was that Anne his wief should have the howse wherein he did dwell for two yeares after his death with all the trade of occupyeinge therein in as ample manner as he did vse yt. Also that his son George should have the loft called the Checker Lofte with all thinges in the same lofte and also in the parlor belowe that he should have the great Presse and two great chests and £30. And after the two yeares the house and occupyeing remayn vnto his sonne George the servaunts lofte even as yt is the pestrie even as yt is the Bakehouse withall implements belonging to yt and also a horse and panyers and also the shopp even as yt ys and the hall exceptinge the table and the forme. In presence of Anne his wief, George Halpennye his sonne, John Halpennye of Bromley the Testators brother, Allyne Badcocke and Esdras Walleys clerke, of Deptforde.
On 10 June 1589 at Rochester administration granted to Anne Halpeny relict, of the goods of William Halpenye of Deptford "by way of intestacy". Inventory - £66.8.6. (250a Whitgift I).
