To be buried next the tomb of the said Henry my father in the church of St. Martin in the Vintry, London. To the fabric of the said church so that my body may be buried £10. To the Rector 13s. 4d. To the Rector of the church of St. Olave next the Tower of London for tithes etc. 20s. To each Convent of the four Orders of the Friars in London 13s. 4d., of the Friars of the Holy Cross next the Tower 13s. 4d. Prior and Convent of Elsyngespitelle 13s. 4d. To the expense of my funerals to be done properly 20 mrcs. To the Prior and Convent of Charterhous 40s.
To Thomas atte Welle my servant 10 mrcs. To Augustine my bailiff at CRAUTHORN 100s. To prisoners in Newgate 20s., in Marchesey 13s. 4d., en le Flete 13s. 4d. I leave 40 mrcs to find therewith two chaplains to celebrate for my soul, the souls of my father and mother and all faithful departed for two years one in the church of St. Martin and the other where Matilda my wife shall wish. To be distributed between the infirm and those lying in hospital viz of St. James next Westminster, St. Giles outside Holborne, St. Bartholomew of Smythfelde, B. Mary of Bedleem, the New Hospital outside Busshopsgate and St. Thomas the Martyr of Southewerk to each 40d. I leave to the Lepers at Le lokes 40d.
To Henry my brother all my girdles and my best silver cup with cover not gilt. To Johanne my sister wife of Robert Littele £10 and to each of the sons of the said Robert and Johanne 40s. and each of their daughters 40s. To the fabric of the church of St. James of Garlikeheth 20s. To the fabric of the church of Westminster 20s. To the aforesaid Henry my brother £10. To Matilda Sakenessh 20s. To Alice daughter of the said Matilda 20s. Residue to Matilda my wife and I make her and Henry my brother executors. Dated at London 20 October 1380.
Codicil. Notwithstanding anything in the Will of John Gisors deceased before given the said John on Saturday in the Feast of St. Thomas the Martyr of Canterbury 1380 in his house lying in extremis wished and ordained that Hugh Fastolf, citizen of London who had married the daughter of the said John should have all his "jocalia" and also all his cups as well gilt as silver.
