(Dame) ELIANOR SAUAGE, widow. To be buried in the chancel of the Priory church of Walyngford (Berks) before the high altar. To the works (operibus) of the said church 40s. To an anniversary for two chaplains to celebrate for the souls of my lord and me, one where the body of my lord is buried and the other for my soul and my benefactors in the Chapel within the Castle of Walyngford for a year. To the monks of the said Priory 20s, and to each monk a silver cup price 13s. 4d. To the College (collegio) within the Castle of Walyngford a silver cup and a mazer to be used by the priests of the said College at table and to remain in the said College for ever in memory of the souls of my lord and of me. I leave £10 for a stone to be placed over my tomb in the said chancel of the Priory of Walyngford. I leave to Brother John Schirborne to be had in memory of his prayers for the souls of my lord and me 5 marcs. To brother John Cayso for same 5 marcs and a black bed. To the same to be had in memory of his prayers "unum scriptum clausum" in silver, marked on one side with a crucifix and on the other with a knight armed like Saint George. 
To Arnold my son all ploughing cattle and horses which are upon the Manors of Bobbyng and Tracis. To the same Arnold seed sufficient to sow as much land belonging to the manors as two ploughs can plough for one whole year. I leave the said Arnold all ploughs and carts and all other necessaries upon the manors of Bobbyng and Tracys, and as much corn upon the said Manors as will suffice for eight servants working thereon for a whole year according to the custom of that country. Also as much grain and malt as are on the said manors in autumn. Also all brass vessels and pewter (stannea) and all hustlements which are on the Manors. Also two "halls" with his arms and two beds upon the Manor of Bobbyng, one little bed to serve for his attendants there, twelve silver dishes and twelve silver salts and two "chargeurs" of silver and a basin and ewer of silver. I leave to Elianore my daughter £40, one "coppe" with gilt cover, one "Noute" made like a lamb, three gilt ‘coupes’ five peces of silver, a basyn and a ewer of silver, 6 dishes and 6 salts of silver, one ‘fret’ and one ‘betener’ the best I have, three ‘filecies’ viz two long and one short, the best I have. 
To the same Elianore my daughter ‘kerchynes’ and ‘trifes’ which I have, one pair ‘unu’ilium’ viz the best I have, two good beds at Walyngford one with full ‘celur’ and the other with half ‘celur’ with the whole belongings. To the same daughter a "goune" of silk and two ‘cotes’ one black and the other of scarlett with fur. I leave to Margaret Lotewyk a "goune de skarlet" lined together with the custody of all jewels and goods and £40 given to the said Elianore my daughter until she shall come to the age of 20 years. To Margaret Foliamb a ‘cote’, green, cut at the sides and furred. To Margery Lotewyk and Margery Foliamb a ‘cresset’ made like the letters S to be divided equally between them. To Alice Ledes my maiden 10 marcs and a coverlit and a carpet (tapita). To Johanna Vadlet a covering of my bed and a ‘corset’ of golden cloth furred. I leave ‘Mudine nutria’ of my lord a ‘goune’ of green lined. To Reymunde a ‘cote’ of Russet turned with ‘gris’. To Geoffrey, Hugh, Haukin and Janyn sometimes servants of my lord each 20s. To Richard Fanne and Thomas Wyke my executors the rest of my bedding at [Bobbyng] except that given to Arnold my son. I leave to John Peyteuyn, William Piper, Adam Zepiswych and William Wynslowe each 13s. 4d. To John Warde page of my chamber 20s. To Roger Northwode husband of my daughter one ‘coupe’ of silver and gilt with cover. Residue to be sold to pay my lords debts and mine and rest in two parts one for our souls and the other for Elianore my daughter. My son Arnold to be principal executor and his fellows Richard Fanne and Thomas Wyke. Dated at Walyngford within the castle 8th October 1375. 
Proved 14th October 1375 by the executors (as named). She is styled Dame Elianore relict of Sir Arnold Sauage, deceased. (81b Sudbury).
