HENRY WELDE, rector of the parish church of Wikham Brewes (Wickhambreaux) in Kent, 2 July 1420. To be buried in the chancel of my said church. To the use of the high altar there a cloth called ‘carpite’ and two candlesticks of laton to carry two wax candles upon the high altar where it shall seem most desirable to the parishioners 66s. 8d. To the use of the said church a black vestment viz ‘Auube’, chesible, amice, stole and phanon for one priest. 
   To Master Adam Body my proctor 40s. To Thomas Bury Keeper of the ‘gaderobe’ of Lord Thomas Duke off Clarence 100s. To Thomas Clopton my Kinsman my principal bed with all the belongings. To Richard illis my servant my second best bed. To Alice wife of Thomas Clopton for her good service to me 26s. 8d. To Matilda daughter of the said Alice 13s. 4d. To William Gobyon Esquire a covered silver cup made and fashioned in form of a Rose and my best horse of his choosing. Residue at disposition of the said William Gobion my principal executor and Thomas Bury and Richard Hilles my servant the others. Dated at Stratford ate Bowe.
   Proved 12 Oct 1420 in the priory of Canterbury by William Gobion and Richard Hilles. [338a Chichele I]
