William Irege of
the parish of Haukeherst 20 April 1504. To be buried before the altar of
the Blessed Virgin Mary in the parish church of Haukeherst. To Dom.
Thomas Hert 6s 8d. To William Bukeherst for his labour and goodwill tome
in the time of my infirmity 26s 8d.
To the reparation of the church of Sandeherst 10 marcs. I leave to six
‘poore housholders’ in the parish of Sandeherst 40s, and to poor
girls of the same parish towards their marriages 33s 4d. I ordain
William Bukherst & Thomas Ciseley my executors [Latin].
Last will: All my lands in Haukeherst and Sandeherst to be sold by my
feoffes and I will that if Henry Alard woll bye all my londs & rents
being in the parisshe of Sandeherst that he have it for the some and
payment of £40 and if he will not bye the said londs peasably after the
maner & forme bifore rehersed but will make troubill & vexacion
ayenst this my testament and last will and so cause my goodes to be
spent in vayn Than I will he shalnot have the said londs wtoute he will
geve and pay as moch as any other man will geve for hit. Provided always
that if the said Henry Alard clayme or can shewe a right titell to my
forsaid londs, tenements & rents in Sandeherst than I will that all
my forsaid bequests the whiche I have ordeigned to be bestowed in the
parisshe of Sandeherst as it apperith by my said testament stond voide
and be of noon effecte.
Proved 13 Feb 1515 the executors renouncing and administration granted
to Henry Allard "per viam intestati". [PCC 4 Adeane]
