William Turnor Dated 8 Nov. 1430. To be buried in the Church of Lydd on the north side & to the same church so much lead to cover the north part where my body shall be buried to the value of ten marcs (£6.13.4). To the Brotherhood of Holy Cross 3s 4d; to the light of St James 3s 4d; High Beam 20d, to each light of St Mary, St Peter, All Saints, St John Baptist, & St George 12d, to the Light of Dengemersh & of Westbroke 20d each.
   To wife Joan my best maser & best silver box & another 2 boxes of silver. Daughter Alice my second maser, & one box of silver. Son Henry my silver girdle with great heart. To Alice Willis to her marriage 40s/- & 4 silver drinking cups & one box.
   My best girdle to be sold & the money given to the poor in the Church of Lydd.
   Idonie my kinswoman as much red cloth sufficient to make two tunics & two hoods. To Thomas Redene 13s 4d, to his wife 6s 8d, to the wife of Henry Rogers 3s 4d, to Wm Parys 3 silver drinking cups & one bed.
   The House of Friars Minors of Wynchelsea 5s to pray for my soul; the Friars Preachers there 2s 6d; the Friars of Rye for a trental 2s 6d; the Friars of Losenham 2s 6d.
   Executors: wife Joan, Thomas Redene & Simon Fermor with Thomas Smith, clothier of Romney & John Blakeman of Lydd supervisors.
