Thomas Edryk 23 Dec. 1503. To be buried in
the parish church. For the space of six years to the Brotherhoods of St
Mary, Holy Cross, Holy Trinity, St John Baptist, St George, St Peter &
St Katherine as much each year as the Brethren of the same Brotherhood
shall pay. For an Image in honour of All Saints to be made £8 for the
soul of Stephen Locok. To the parish church of St Nicholas of Romney 6s
8d.
To my eldest son Stephen £20 & two horses. Simon Edryk
to have the value of 10 marcs (£6.13.4) & one horse. Edmund Edryk to
have £5 to be paid when 18, also 10 ewes. To my 2 daughters 20 marcs
each.
To a priest for one year 11 marcs (£7.6.8) & to the
reparation of the Church after the death of my wife £10.
Residue after paying debts etc to my wife Margaret.
Executors: wife Margaret, son Stephen Edryk & Simon Watts. Witnesses:
William Bull, John Bate, John Gregory.
