Henry JAMYS - Will 1 January 1501

Henry Jamys of the parish of Blakmanston, 1 January 1501. To be buried in the parish church of Saint Mary Church ‘in marisco’. To the light of the Holy Cross in the said church 6s 8d. To the light of the Blessed Virgin Mary 3s 4d. The light of St Katherine the Virgin there 3s 4d. To the work (opus) of the same church V marcs. To the buying of a new vestment to the same church 10 marcs. To Dom. William Dobill, curate there 6s 8d. To John Bywater, parish clerk there 3s 4d. To Alice Bette my servant to her marriage 10 marcs. To Agnes Pollard my servant to her marriage 40s. To Gregory Clerke my servant 13s 4d. To Agnes Beete my sister 40s.
To Alice my wife 12 cows, 12 bullocks, 12 heffers, 2 oxen, one bull, 60 sheep (ewes) 4 mares of the best & one half of all my household goods. To Johan my daughter the other half of my goods. To Johan relict of Clement Tely 20s. I will my executors cause to be carried 300 loads of stone on the Kings High Way between my messuage & the lane next to the messauge of the heirs of William Burbarn. Residue I leave to Robert Estday & William Pyx my executors.
To the work (opus) of the churches of St Nicholas, St Laurence & St Martin in Romeney 6s 8d each. I will that my executors cause to be made one pax to the said church of Saint Mary Churche to the value of 26s 8d "unacum anulo loculi mei de argento et uno altero anulo vocat le Signett de quibus volo quod dicta pax feire debeat".
I leave to Thomas Godard, John Warden, Robert Scap & John Best my feoffees 10s. To Henry Jamys my kinsman £10. [Latin] 
This is the last will of me Henry Jamys de Blakmanston 29 January 17 yere Henry VIII. Thomas Godard, John Wardeyn, Robert Scarp, & John Best my feoffees shall make a leesse unto Alice my wife in 40 acres of land in the parish of St Mary Church besides Jesseston & to remayne to Johanne my doughter & my wife to occupye my tenement I dwelle in and 100 acres of land in the parisshes of Blakmanston, Saint Mary Church & Newchurch till my doughter Johanne come to age of 18 yeris. If she decesse then to Henry Jamys my cousyn & he to take the profitt of 75 acres of land in the parish of Newchurch besids the tenement of Mankokks unto the tyme he come to 30 yeres & then to have a state of the 75 acres. Twelve acres of lande in Newchurch whereof 7 acres Thomas Jamys my broder holdeth to ferme and 5 acres one Thurstede of Challok holdith to ferme. Six acres which John Wulball fermyth and 2 acres and a half which John Garard fermyth in Newchurch.
