Richard Gibson, Seriaunt at Armes of our soueraigne lorde the Kinge & citezen & merchauntaylour of London. 4th Oct. 1534. To be buried in parish church of St Thomas Appostell of London where as I am now parisshen. To Thomas Warde esquier my faithful frinde & lover. To Mestres Gybbes. To Jamys Porter my whitt amblinge geldinge wt saddell that I hadd at Caleys. To Henry Devell. To Thomas Barnewell gent. Wm Rudd my servant. To ---- Gibson priste. 
To my sonne Wm Gibson my maser of silver & gilt called the Seriaunt of Armes maser which I have used to bere afore our Soueraigne lord the King. Residue betwen Alyce my wife & my children according to the laudable use & custome of this honorable citie. She & Wm Gibson my sonne executors & Paul Wythepole Citezen & merchaunt Taylour & Thos Ward oversears. Alice my wif one of the doughters of Sr William Bayly Knight late maier and Alderman of the Citie of London deceased all my londs, barne & dovehouse in Romne Mershe, Wallande, Plomstede, Mersham, Sevington, Braborne & Wikeham next Plomsted. [no further mention of Romney]. Names his sons Richards & Giles.
Proved 19 Dec 1534 by Alice relict & William Gibson. [PCC 21 Hogen]
