RICHARD HUNTYNGTON, 14 November 1430. [no bequest as to burial]. To the work of the church of Chichester 6d. To the high altar of St. Clement of Hastyngs 6s. 8d. To lights standing in the chapel of the Blessed Mary in the said church before the ymage of the blessed Mary 6s. 8d. To Thomas Style parish clerk 12d. Residue to Matilda my wife to dispose for my soul.
Last will of Richard Hountyngton of Hastyngs 14 November 1430, 9 Henry VI. John Edward, Adam Freusshe, Thomas Julian and Richard Philpot my foeffees in a tenement lying in the parish of St. Clement in Hastings to allow Matilda my wife to occupy for seven years and then to be sold. The said Adam Freusshe and William Goldyng my feoffees in all my lands and tenements in the parish of Wyttresham in Kent or elsewhere in the Isle of Oxene by my deed, to sell the same and the said Matilda to dispose for my soul.
To the said Adam Frensshe and Richard Philpot a piece of land in the parish of All Saints of Hastings between the tenement of John atte Nasshe on the south part of that of John Noble to sell the same after my death for Matilda my wife to dispose for my soul.
Witnesses: William Goldyng, John Reed, John Cosam.
Proved 15 March 1430. (P.C.C. 15 Luffenam)
