JOHN ORGAR, citezen and
Freemason of London, 9 October 1544. To be buried in xpen buriall wher it
shall pleas god to provide for the same. To Robert Draper of London,
goldesmith 40s. starling. To euery one of my three doughters 40s. starling
a pece. To all my childerne the thirde parte of all my gooddes equally to
be decided according to the gooddes lawdable custome of the Cytie of
London.
My executor shall doo finde and kepe wt in the parish e churche of
Boughton in Kent by the space of seven yeres one yerelye obit or
anniversary for my soule, my wiffes soule and all xpen soules expending
yerely 6s. 8d. Vnto Elizabeth my wife the second parte of my gooddes ouer
and above the plate that she brought wt her.
Residue, my debtes paid &e to my said childerne equaly. Geoffery Orgar
my sonne my sole executor and to be same Geoffery for his labor 40s. My
trustie and loving sonne Edwarde Martyn myn ouerseer. Per me Robert
Draper, per me Andrewe Woodcok, Lawrence Owen, John Mucklowe, scriptor.
Last will: of all my landes, tenements &e in the parrishes, townes and
feldes of Boughton Monchesey and Lowse in Kent. Elizabeth my wiffe
shalhave during her liffe all suche landes &e whiche I have appoynted
to her by a dede of feoffament indent and aftre her decase to remayne to
revert vnto all my childerne equalie to be divided.
I will Geffery Orgar my sonne my dwelling howse and the landes therunto
belonging in Boghton Quarell in Kent, whiche one John Turnor nowe holdith
to farme. Also William Orgar my sonne my howse in Pykynstrete and all my
landes in Pykenstrete in parrishe of Lowse in Kent except suche landes
there appoynted to Elizabeth my wiffe for her ioyntor. To Henry Orgar my
sone all my landes &e called Purselands in parishe of Lowse and a
howse in Boghton aforesaide called Mellers wt twoo meddowes thereunto
belonging the one called Meremayde.
To Edwarde Martyn my sonne allthat my tenement called Wychinden in Boghton.

Awen and John Mucklowe scryvener.
