HENRY BIXBIETH of the parish of Berstede, 9 July 1471. To be buried in the churchyard of the church of the Holy Cross of Berstede. Tot he light of the Blessed Mary there 4d., of St. Katherine 4d., of St. Nicholas 4d. To Agnes my wife 8 marcs if she shall live. Residue to Thomas Pokill and Robert Haynes to dispose for my soule and they to be executors.
Last will: of all my lands and tenements in the said parish. I will that William Lorde of the same parish my feoffee immediately after my death enfeoffe Agnes my wife, if she shall live, of and in all the said lands &e. for her life and after to remain to Thomas Pokill and Robert Jooe. And the said Thomas and Robert shall sell all the said lands and the money received an honest chaplain shall celebrate for my soul in the church of Berstede for half a year and the residue they shall dispose for my soul, the soul of Agnes aforesaid and all my friends and faithful departed.
