17 November 1547 (1 Edward VI). Thomas Herman of Crambrook marchaunt. To my sonne John Harman my homestedell wt 9 peces of lande, whereof 6 peces liethe agaynst the northe and one peace called Parkefelde lyinge agaynst Crowche Hothe, joyninge to the lands of Richard White agaynst the northe wt twoo peces loyninge to the landes of Thomas Dranir wt a gardayne.
To my sonne Richarde Harman my mylln whiche was called Brikends Mylln wt all the landes belonginge therevnto wt a certeyne wood standing by the ponde. More I bequethe to my sonne Thomas Harman the howse ouer agaynst the chappell in Mylkhowse Streete to the west wt three peces of land of 20 acres. Also one howse in Mylkhouse Street ons beinge Atkins wt oute anny lande and an howse wt gardeyne lyinge and joyninge vnto Playstole. To my sonne Stephen Herman £40 and an howse lyinge in the parish of Rownden besides Maytame Fenye wt 7 acres of grownde and one pece of lande called the Reading holden of Richard Courthopp for terme of yeres by Indenture joyninge Crouche Hothe agaynst
the southe.
To my doughter Marye Harman 100 marcs. To my father John Harman £20 or fyve nobles a yere durying his life. To my brother Lawrence Harman £20.
Residue amongst my foure sonnes. I will my sonne John Harman and Peter Courthopp clothier to be executours.
To my brother Richarde Harman £5. 13. 4. To my brother Stephen Harman £6. 13. 4. By me Thomas Harman. By me Richarde Courthopp. By me Wm. Courthopp. Richd. Harman, per me Robertum Frelove mercer.
