25 January 1547 25 January 1547[8] Robert
Abrooke of Cranebrooke. To be buried as it shall please god. To John Hoke
of Alsten wt in the countie of Sussex £5. To Richard Hooke his sonne £5.
To Christofer Abrook of Pevensey wt in the said countie £5. To Thomasyn
Eliar 6s. 8d. To Nycholas Tayloure and John Hok aforesaid all goods which
my righte sholde and doth appartayne and descende vnto me by the decease
of William Abrooke my father. Edwarde a brooke my brother and Elyn my
syster. If Xpofer Abrooke or any parson or parsons attempt any accon in
the lawe agaynst Rycharde Tayloure of Cranebrooke of and for one annuall
rent of 6s. 8d. whiche the saide Xpofer claymithe out of a certeyne lande
called Denne place wt in the parrish of Westham in Sussex whiche the saide
Richard Tayloure latelie boughte of the saide Robert a Brooke then the £5
I have geuen vnto the saide Cristofer shall go to the oonlie vse of the
saide Nicholas Tayloure. Residue to the said Nycholas Taylor and John
Hooke my executours to paye the children of John a Brooke a certeyn some
of money after their discrecion. |
