29 August 1539 (31 Henry VIII). Stephyn Draner of Cranebroke, clothier. To be buried in the parishe churche or churcheyarde of Cranebroke. To high aulter 6s. 8d. Vnto Johane my wife £40. My plate &e to be divided in four parts (1) wife Joan, (2) to John Draner my son (3) to Thomas Draner my sonne (4) to William Draner my sonne. To Robert Draner my sonne £200. To Benet Drynker my kynswoman at 20 £3. 6. 8. To Stephen Leede my seruaunt at 24 £3. 6. 8. To my doughter Lyncolne 40 marks.
To amending of the high wayes bytwene Cranebroke and Lynton £10 vpon condicion that Richard Courthop do delyuer out of his lands in Hasildens woode or out of eny other of his lands where ys as good grauayle as ys in the seyd landes in Hasyldens Wood, 500 loodes of granaile.
To my syster Margaret Coveney 40s.
John Draner and Thomas Draner my sonnes to be executours and I give them godds blessing and myn and charge them to be good vnto their mother, brethern and sustres. My trusty and welbeloued freende John Baker Esquier the Kings generall attorney to be ouerseer and I bequeth vnto him £10 and my seyd executour to come beofre him and make accompte of the recepts and payments &e of my redy mony plate, clothe, woolle &e.
