WILLIAM GROCYN, clerke, maister of the College of Alhalowen of Maidestone [Maidstone], 2 June 1519. To be buryed at the stalle ende in the high quere of the College of Maidestone.
To my godson William Lylly 5s. To William Capper my godson 20d. To Syr Wm. Page, preste, my gowne of vyolet engrayne furred wt blak conye. To Alice Lynacre my scarlet gowne wt the hode lyned wt sarcenet. To Thomas Taillour my seruaunt my mesuage or tenement wt garden &e in Stonestrete of Maidestone I late purchased of oon John Clere.
Residue to Maister Thomas Lynacre, clerk, he to bestowe for the wele of my soule and the soules of my fader, modre, benefactors and all xpen soules as it shall please hym and I make him executor and of thexecucion of the same I make the forsaid Sir Wm. page overseer.
These witnes: Thomas Homson [or Honison] clerk, and Robert Warde, clerk.
