Anno 1484. I JOHN LEE, master of the College of Maydeston [Maidstone]. To be buried where it shall please God. I wish that my tenement next the vicarage in the parish of Saint Marie of Sandwich with my garden next the churchyard of Saint James in the said towne shall remain to the wardens of the Jhu Mass, they to pay ‘secunda ebdomeda de Ramus Paluarum’ while they shall live for an obit for the souls of my parents. 
My messuage in the place called Vicarslane which I had of Alice Gardyner to be sold and 20s. to be give to John Shirwyn of Crambroke [Cranbrook] to the marriage of three women in equal portions, and of £4 owing to me by William Curborowe I wish that 10s. be given to my godson John Lee, son of Richard Lee my brother and 20s. to Elisabeth my goddaughter daughter of the said William Curborowe.
All my lands in the parish of Maydestone my feoffees shall enfeoff the master of the College with his fellows to their use and Royal Licence had for the master and others of the College and their successors for ever, for an obit for me and my parents and benefactors. If this is not observed then to revert to Christchurch Canterbury.
All my goods to be sold and debts paid and to my godson John Irland £10 and Johan my goddaughter, daughter of Henry Smyth 13s. 4d. To my godson pandoxitor of the College 13s. 4d.
Residue to Dom. Thomas Nicholl and Richard Arnell.
