30 Aug 1543. William Becher of the parrishe of Saint Thomas the Appostle yn Wynchelse (Winchelsea). To be buried in the churche yarde.
   I doo putt in truste Thomas Cooke to see suche mony as I have to be distributed to pore people and for masses for my soule and all Xten soules.
   To Rycharde Becher my pore brother that is to be recevide of Thos Blondell in Tonbridge 26/8 and to the saide Rycharde my brother £5 to be recevide of my brother Henry Becher haberdassher dwellinge yn Saint Swythynnes parrishe of London of suche money as he hathe in kepinge of myne.
    To a mayden cauled Alyce dwelling with a Fysicon in Lunberde Streate or there abowtes 40s by my brother Henry.
   I will Henry my brother shalbe exor.
  This is: of a certeyne tenement in Kent in the parrishe of Spelherste (Speldhurst). I will that Henry Becher my brother shall have my forsaide tenement and to have a priste to singe for me.
   Present Sir Rycharde Davyes curat of the saide parrishe, Thos Cooke, John Hyllier, Robert Joyce.
   Probate 17 March 1543 by exor.
