18 July 1553. Ursula Wootton. To be buried within the quyer of the parishe churche of Bocton Malherbe (Boughton Monchelsea) yf I dye within that parishe or in that parishe churche where I shall happen to dye for the brekinge of the ground for my grave and for other things usually demanded by the parsones at and for suche buryalls 20s.
   Next my debts due to everye person be paide.
   Also I will to Twentie poore men twentie shertes and to as manye wemmen twentie smokes and to everyone xijd in mony.
   To my sonne Thomas Wotton my Ringe with the poynted dyamonde and to my doughter Wotton my Ringe with the Rewbye and my gowne of blacke velvet which she will.
   To my sonne Rudstone the two gylte saltes that he haes of myne and to my doughter Rudstone a tabylclothe of damaske work and a Towell and a dowssyn of Napkyns and a gowne of black velvet. To my saide sonne Rudston £10 he owithe me.
   To Willyam Wotton my Ringe with the dyamonde squared at the cornares.
   To Mystres Wallwicke my gowne of blacke damask that is lyned and a ringe with a Turkes. To every one of the servuntes takinge wages being in my sonne Thomas Wottons house or els where yt shall happen me to decease 3/4 and to the women 5s apece. To Sexton 40s. To Buckeman 20s.
   And wher as there is yet due unto me £200 by my sonne Wotton I will give and bequeath as well the said £200 as all the rest of my goodes etc. unto my daughter Hedyngton to be employed and bestowed within xij monethes upon some portion of lande to be assured unto my said daughter Hedyngton and her heyres.
   Executours my sone Robert Rudstone and Willyam Wotton. Ursula Wotton.
   Probate (sede vac) coran d & C. Cant. 7 June 1554 by Wm Wotton personally present and Robt Rudston in p. of said Wm, exors.
