1528 the day of the vij slepers. I Antony Wyberne of Tysherst (Ticehurst)
in Sussex in the presence of Thomas Rochester clerk vicar of Tysherst, John
Torkynton of London, Richd Rube of Rye, Thos Richardson
of London and other moo make my testament.
To be buried in Saint Johns Chapell of Tysherst. To Saint Richard
Shryne of Chechester 4d. To repacions of the churche of Tysherst
and Saint Johns Chapell 20s. To my burying my moneth myde dool
amongs por people ten marcs. At my yeres mynde 26/8. A prest shall serve in
Tysherst for my soule etc two yeres 20 marcs to Ryse owt of my londes in
Tysherst and Tonbrigge.
I will my cosyn Wm Wybern kepe a yerely mynde for my
soule 20 yere and bestowe 6/8. To ech of my godchildern 12d. To
Margaret Fawne 6/8. To Rauf my sonne my tenement called Coppyngs Crowch to
geve and sell and Apsys medowe condicionally that Robt Apse payes
to the same Raufe foure pounds.
To John my sonne my tenement in Tysherst called Bisshopps
tenement to geve and sell reserving 13/4 yerely till £10 be bestowed to the
perfourmaunce of Stevyn Bisshopps testament.
To Joane my doughter 10 marc at hir mariage. To Margaret my
doughter to hir mariage likewise.
Myn exors I will my cosyn Wm Wyberne, my brother John
Torkington and Maister Xtofer Halys supervisor.
Wit. Thos Rochester vicar of Tysherst, Richard Rubye of Rye, Thos
Richardson and other.
I will my londes in Tysherst and Tonbrigge (Tonbridge) unbequest
the two first yeres to fynde a prest to singe in Tysherst in the chapell of
Saint John after doon I will the profits to my childern the space of ten yeres.
Than after xij yeres I will the londes and tenements to my cosyn Wm
Wybarne and his heires.
I will my suster Maryon Torkyngton a pair of beds of Corall
gawded with silver gawdyes.
On 23 Nov 1528 John Torkyngton personely and Wm Wybarn
in p. of said John exors renounced and adm. p. uian inestati to said John
Torkyngton.
