26. Bodfelde
1 May 1524. John of Childderyng the elder of the parishe of Tunbrige
(Tonbridge). To be buried in the church yarde of the Appostells Petir and
Paull in the same parishe before said. 20s to be expended in the
day of my buryng and 20s in my moneth day. A trentall to be doon at
Savoy.
Residue to Denys my wife and William my sonne whom I make extours.
This is: I will that John my sonne have Fylpotts and Rumays in fee symple.
I will that Wm of Childderyng my sonne have my lands called Ryngs
lying in the said borough of Helden after the decesse of Denys my wife. I will
the said Willm have my stabull lying in the towne of Sevenoke
(Sevenoaks) in
fee symple. I will that yf Bernard Cocks of Lyghe do not paye to my extours
£10 accordyng to a bargeyn made bitwene me and the said Bernard for a mese
and a crofte in the parishe of Lygh (Leigh) which I sold to the said Bernard
that then my extours shall entre in the said mese and crofte to goo toward the
payment of my detts. Also I will
that Annasys my monds be solde to pay my detts.
I will the said Willm
my sonne have all my other londes not willed in fe simple provided alwey that
the said Denys my wyfe have suche interest and right as the said Denys hath in
every parcell of the same residue as the said Denys hath therof duryng hir
lyfe.
Wit. Sir Thos Lawe, parishe preest, Robert Butler, John Borgg,
Thomas of Childderyn, John Dowbull, Stevyn Essex.
Probate 22 Oct 1524 and com in persone Magri Willi Falk, proctor.
