13 July 10 H8. Robert Hadde being within the Freris
of Aylisforde. To be buried in the chirche of the Freris before the Quere dore.
To the high aulter for tythes forgoton 12d. To the Prior to pray
for me Xs. To the supprior Vs. To Frere George Savear
3/4. To every other prest to pray for me 20d. To every noves to
pray for me 4d. To the hyhe aulter of Frensted 3s. To
the Roode light ther 8d. To our Layd lyght there 8d. To
Seint Katryns light vjd, Seint Johnes light 4d, Seint
Cristofer light 4d.
To Thomas myn oldest sonne and heire my salt of silver. To George
my sonne my hart of gold. To Mathew my sonne my ryng of gold that was my
mothers. To Henry my sonne my lytill masure and 4 silver spones with castell
knopps how beit I will that Elisabeth my wif have the occupacion and pleysure
herof duryng hir lif.
Residue to Elisabeth my wif the which I make myn execitrice and
Maister Priour and Robert Mecott her assistents and my brother Rooper
overseer.
At my buryng 4 marc and at my monethes mynde £4 in diriges
,masses and other almes, dedis and at my yeris mynde whate it pleysith yow.
This is: of me Robert Hadde of Aylisford in Kent gentilman made
13 July 10 H8 towchyng the disposicion of all my manors, landis etc. in Kent.
First I will that Thomas Hadde my eldest sonne when he cometh to the age of 22
yeris have my maner of Darensted and all my other landis and tenements in the
parisshe of Frensted and in the parisshes of Harietsham, Holyngborne and
Wormesell and my store of the value of 20 marc to the said maner belongyng,
paying yerely oute of the said maner of Wrensted to Elisabeth my wif duryng
the terme of hir lyf V marc.
To the said Thomas Hadde and the heires malis of his body
lawfully begoten and for lack of suche issue the remayndre therof to George
Hadde my sonne [and then to Mathew Hadde my sonne, Henry Hadde my sonne, Wm
Hadde my sonne and for lack to my right heires].
I will George Hadde my sonne shall have my messuage or
tenement cdalled Poyton otherwise called Boyton when 21 [remainder in deafult
to Mathewe, and Thomas Hadde, my sonnes].
I will that Mathewe Hadde my sonne after the decease of Elisabeth
my wif have all my tenement called the Cardinalls Hatt in the parisshe of
Chistlett and Westbere to hym and his heires males and for lack to George
Hadde my sonne and for lacke to Thos Hadde my sonne.
I will Elisabeth my wif have my manor of Esshenden with all the
landes, wodds, rents and services in the parisshe of Leneham duryng hir lyf
kepyng resonable repacons and after her decease to remayne unto the said
Thomas Hadde my sonne and his heires males and for lacke to my other sonnes
oon after an other in lyk remaynder as in maner of Wrensted. The saide Thomas
(or other) that shall happe to have the same maner of Essenden payng out of
the same and oute of certen other lands I purchasssed of Thomas Thomas called
Lynaker in Frensted which some tyme were oon Wm Stokletts yerely to
every of the said Henry Hadde and Wm Hadde my sonnes duryng theire
lyves 40s.
Elisabeth my wife take the issues etc. of all my said maner lands
etc. unto the said Thomas Hadde and George my sonnes come Thomas to 22 yeris
and George 21 yeres and paye to the mariage of Parnell my doughter X marc
above the £20 that is redy for hir.
Thomas Hadde my son when 22 or which shall happ to have my maner
of Wrensted pay to the mariage of Katryn my doughter £20 and to the mariage
of my doughter Anne £20.
I will Elisabeth my wif paye to my doughter Elisabeth X marc the
which I have ordigned all redy and to make hir nune with.
I will Thomas or suche as shall happ to have my maner of Wrensted
doo for the welth of my soule in the parisshe chirche of Frensted an yerely
obitt of 6/8 by the space of 20 yeris next after the mariage money of my said
doughters is paid.
I will that my stokks of money and cataills that belongith to my
ij fermes in Frensted the oon of £20 and the other of 20 marc shall remayne
to myn eldist sonne theire.
Probate 16 July 1519 by Thos Argall 3. proct. and com to Isabelle
relict [sic].
