23 June 1517. William Sever citezen and salter of
London. To be buried in the ? church yarde of the parishe of Saint Dunstone in
the Est nere unto the Crosse ther where Johane my late wyfe lyeth buried. To
the bretherhede or Fraternitie of the name of Jhu founded in the said churche
3/4. To the bretherhede or Fraternitie of the name of our blissed lady founded
in the said church 3/4. Preest to syng for my soule, the soules of Johane and
Alice my wyfs, my fader and moder and all Xten soules one hole yere and have
£7.6.8.
Unto Richard Sever of Tounebrige all my londs and tenements of
late new bylded sett and beinge in the Towne of Tounebrige in Kent, to him and
his heires for ever.
Unto my brother Richard Sever all that my great barne of olde
tyme called Partriche Barne being in the parisshe of Tounebrige to him and his
heires for ever.
Unto John Newdygate my servunt the lease and terme of yeres
than to come of a tenement in the parisshe of Saint Dunstone aforeseid I holde
of the graunte and lease of John Chester late citezen and draper of London
nowe decessed and also the lease of a gardyn with a mille and a milhouse in
the parish of St Dunstone aforesaid I have of the lease of Robert Tate late
citezen and mercer of London nowe decessed.
Residue unto Water Smyth and John Newdygate to dispoase in dedes
and werks of charitie and I make them exors and Hugh Fournesse of London
gentilman overseer.
