The first part of this Will is written in Latin

7 May 1510. Thomas Geffraye de Lamberherst.
Names and places mentioned include:
Thomasine Smyth, Agneti Cowerd and Elizabeth Sevenok, Alicie Geffraye and Elizabeth Geffraye (daughters).
   This is: of and uon the disposition of my londs and tenements in the parisshes of Wadeherst and Lamberherst in the which Stephen Nasche, Wm Geffraye and Gabriel Screter my feoffes stond enfeoffed yn.
    I will John Geffraye my son shalhave my messuage in the which I dwell yn whan he cometh to the age of 21 yeres forth with the londs lying in Kent callid Stantes.
   I will Thomas my sonne shalhave in like wise when 21 a messuage lying in Wadherst callid Bustis and a pece of lond lying in Kent callid Alysons lond forth with halff the londs lying in Wadherst and Lamberherst in Sussex.
   Also I will Wm my sone a messuage lying in Wadherst and Lamberherst in Sussex. Either off theym to be others heyre.
   I will Elizabeth my wif shalhave a messuage in Lamberherst towne in Sussex with a gardyn lying therto for terme of hir lif callid Lokkys and aftir the saide messuage callid Lokkys be devided between my said iij sonnes when 21. Provided that if John Geffraye my sonne shall vary or trouble with his said ij brethern Thomas and William in any mesuage and londs to theym assigned contrary to this my last will that then the saide John have no part of my stoke no of my moevable.
   I will that a pece of Lynard shalbe dispyssyd by the discrecon of mhy said exors amongs ny poor spinesters as can be thought moost convenyent.
   Exors shall take yssues etc. duryng noon age of my sonnes to thexhibicion and fyndyng of my said sonnes and doughters.
   Wit. Nicholas Fowle, John Dyne, Edward Tecterer, Gabriel Streter and other.
   Also I will my mesuage callid Gentors shall equally be devided betwene my said three sonnes when 21.
