31 Dec 1476. Thomas Bradbrigg of Reygate in Surrey.
To be buried in parish church upon Cornehill of London nye to the place
whereas the body of John Bracebrigg late my brother nowe lieth buried. To high
auter of parish church of Reygate 3/4. An ?aulyphoner as godly as they can by
for £4 to the parish church of Reygate. To Wm Bradbrigg the sonne
of John Bradbrygg late of London grocer £20 which Wm Morland clerk
owith unto me to be delivered whanne he comyth to his laufall age and if he
die then to remain with Wm Morland to pray for my soule.
To Thos Bradbrigg sonne of Robert Bradbryg my brother
£20 toward his fyndyng and exhibicon to scole and to rest in the hands of Wm
Moreland and Wm Kelett clerk my said exours and if the said Robert
Bradbryg dye then to Wm Bradbryg his brother towards his exhib. and
fyndyng to the scole in lyke wise and if he die then to Goodelefe suster of
the said Wm Bradbrygge.
To Richard Maycott of Cannterbury dwellyng with my lord Cardinall
£10 to thentent that John Maycote his elder brother may purchas as moch land
as he can to the behoof of the said Richard Maycott.
To the 2 doughters of John Dogett and Agnes late his wife my
suster £3.6.8. when lauffull age or maried and if both dye then among the
children of Robert Wylkok of Bedenden in Kent.
To Isabell my wife all my stuff of houshold and all my quyck
catall.
Residue to said Wm Moreland and Wm Kelett
to dispose for my soule in charitable dedes which the said Wm
Moreland and Wm Kelett extours.
An honest preest to syng in the chapell of Saint Laurence in the
parish of Reygate on hole yere. I bequeth to my wif thies detts ensuyng, First
for the rest of myn office in Wyndesore for the xv yere of the reigne of the
said King xxixs ijd. Item the dette owyng me of the said
office for an hole yere ixli ijs vjd. An
obligacon of ixli wherof received xls in which Richard
Veyes to me stondeth bound.
I will Robert my brother content and pay to my said wife for ix
steres as he hath sold thann.
This is of me Thomas Bradbrigge of Reygate gentilman.
I woll Isabell my wif have duryng her life all my lands and
tenements etc. and ?services called Salford Streters and Perylond in the
parish of Horley and to remayn to Nicholas the sonne of my said wife and to
Elizabeth the wife of John Skynner of Reygate. If they dye without heirs then
to William Mortan clerke and Wm Kelett clerke myn extours to sell
and dispose for my soul and the soules of my grauntfader my fader and moder
and all my good doers.
I will Thos Bradbrigg sonne of Robert Bradbrigg my
brother have all my landes and tenements in the parishes of Brenchesle and
Horsmunden to him and his heirez and for defaute to remayne to Robert
Bradbrigg the sonne of the said Robert Bradbrigg and for defaute to Wm
Bradbrigg sonne of the said Robert Bradbrigg and for defaute to Godeleef
doughter of the said Robert Bradbrigg and for defaute to myn extours to
dispose for the soules abovesaid.
I will that whereas and the said Wm Kelett to myn use have a yoint
estate of the graunte of Wm Burton and ? of certaigne mesuages
lands etc and mills in the townes and parishes of Benyngton, Cressalton and
Wallyngton in Surrey in fee for suertie of paiment of £74.10.8. paiable at
feest of Saint Mghell next comyng my extours have full auctorite to resceive
the said duetie and the money so received to be disposed to performyng of the
bequests etc. of my testament.
Probate 9 June 1477 and com. to Mr Willm Morland exor
and Wm Kelett.
