Yere 1507 16 Jan. 2 3 Henry 7. Thomas Canceller of Sutton at Hoone in the Shire of Kent Esquier. To be buried in the chapell of our blissed lady and Sainte John the Baptist at the maner of Sutton at Hoone aforsaid yf I dye there. At my burynge dirige be songe with xij preests viij clerks and iiij childern and every preest for the dirige and masse on the morowe xvjd every clerk xijd and every child viijd. Also xij pour men beryny xij torches every one of theym to sey ons our lady psaulter at the Dirige and ons at the mass of Requiem and every have viijd. Torches to be gevyn to pour churches in the shire of Kent To pour men women and childern in almes aftre the masse of Requiem every man and women ijd and every pour childe 1d and that there be yevyn also to vj gentilmen every of theym 4 yardes of blak cloth and vj gentilwomen every of theym 3 yaris and di for their gownes price every yarde 6/8.
   To every one of my householde servunts reteyned men and women 3 yards of blak for their gownes price le yarde 3/4 and my householde servunts have their mete and drinke and wais a hole yere next after my deth iff they will abide and doo their service.
   To the high awter of the churche of Sainte Johns Jerlum in Englonde at London xxs and to the 4 orders of Freers in London for 4 trentalls xls. [To poor prisoners in London for vitaill in lente next and for fyre in colde wether 53/4] I will that there be made in the parisshe churche of newe Wyndesore a glasyn wyndowe and in the same wyndowe to be made the ymage of Evyngton whiche charge must amounte to the sume of xli. [Restitution to any he has wronged].
   To John Newdegate gentilman for his good councelle to myn extours v mark.
   I will Blanche my wyfe for her lyfe all my maners londs and tenements etc. in the parisshe of Croydon in Surry and in the parisshes of Benfelde and Warfelde in Berkshire and in the parisshes of Lowyk Henwyk and Hardwyk in Citie of Northampton whiche late were Richard Burtons Esquier fyndnge yerely an honest preest to synge for my soule the soule of Richard Beauchamp sumtyme Bisshop of ?Sasx my father and mother brethern and susters soules and also the said Blanche paye yerely to Thos. Butler xls I have granted duryng his life.
   I will Thos.Higgs have that tenement he dwellith in in parisshe of Wyngfelde in Berkshire to him and his heirs.
   After decesse of Blanche my wif my lands and tenements in Croydon and in parisshe of Lowyk Henwyk and Hardwyk in Citie of Northampton be solde by Thos. Englisshe Esqre and Henry Saunders gentilmen and the money to welthe of my soule. I will the maner of Benfelde and lands and tenements in Benfelde and Warefelde after deth of said Blanche goe to the foundacion establishing and sustentation of a chauntrye preest to singe in the chirche of Benfelde and of iij pour men to pray there for my soule the soule of Blanche my wyfe the soule of Richd. Beauchamp Bisshop of ?Sasx for evermore yf it be so that the saide Londens and tenements may be amorlysed with ?comement charge and if not then to be sold by said Thos. Englisshe and Henry Saunders and with the mony other londs to be bought to the foundacon and pfourmance of the said chauntrye preest and iij pour men.
   Residue of all my goodes to the said Blanche my wyfe which Blanche and the said Henry Saunders I make exors.
   Witnessinge Thomas Englisshe Esquier Margaret Englisshe Richard Braye John Higgs and other.
   Probate Lamehith 10 July 1509 by oath of Thos. Englisshe Margarete Englisshe Rici Braye and John Higgs and com. to exors. Henry Saunder exor renouncing.
