1. George BROWN of this Parish died 29 January 1869 aged 82. Leaving issue 1 son and 6 daughters by Naomi his wife who died February 12 1876 aged 81.

2. 4 little stones west of above Oldham Thomas child of Reverend P ROLFE died 17 February 1849 aged 9 months. Willie E J child of Reverend P Rolfe died 26 October 1858 aged 5 years. Emily L child of Reverend P Rolfe died November 5 1858 aged 2 years. Lydia Grace child of Reverend P Rolfe died 9 December 1861 aged 13 or 11 months.

38. James SWAFFER of this Parish died November 26 1732 in ye 48 years who left issue by Mary his wife 3 sons and 1 daughter viz James, John, Daniel and Mary. Buried 29 July, husbandman Mary wife of James waffer died July ye 13 1779 aged 99 years. Buried 17 July 1779.

39. Thomas MARKWICK died 25 September 1893 aged 68 left surviving Harriet his wife 1 son and 2 daughters viz Thomas, Annie Marie and Harriet. Also Harriet his wife died 19 March 1914 aged 86.

40. Thomas MARKWICK died 1 October 1862 aged 63. Left surviving Mary his wife 2 sons and 7 daughters Thomas, William, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Sarah, Jane, Hannah, Maria and Harriet. Also Mary wife of above died 25 October 1870 aged 67.

41. Charles COLBRAN died at Woodchurch 9 January 1876 aged 73. Left surviving Eliza his wife 3 sons and 3 daughters William, James, Mary, Eliza, Emily and Levi.

42. Levi COLBRAN late of Rye died 20 April 1838 in 77 year. Mary his wife died January 21 1837 aged 67.

46. Robert NASH died 27 December 1842 aged 62. Anne his wife died 20 November 1858 aged 77. Had issue 9 children Elizabeth, William, Robert, Anne, Mary Martha, Dinah, George and Lidia.

47. Julia Bourne MOORE wife of Frederick Moore died 3 July 1856 aged 22.

48. Kate wife of Richard James CURTIS died 23 June 1886 aged 53. Richard James Curtis died at Orlestone 20 April 1894 aged 63.

49. Edward HOPPER formerly of this Parish, Farmer, who died at Smarden 30 March 1864 aged 67. Left surviving a widow, 2 sons and 3 daughters. Elizabeth his widow died November 22 1867 aged 72. Sarah their daughter died June 26 1847 aged 16.

50. William EALES of this place died 23 June 1882 aged 51. Erected by his children.

51. (1) James Smith died 23 August 1881 aged 40. Ellen his wife daughter of Elizabeth & Samuel Woodgate died 23 August 1872 aged 31. Also Rose and Martha Woodgate, twin daughters of the above who died 17 September 1871 aged 3 months. Leaving issue 3 daughters, Ellen, Agnes and Harriett.

52. (2) Samuel Woodgate died 28 December 1868 aged 67. Leaving issue by Elizabeth his wife 2 sons and 10 daughters. Also Elizabeth his wife died 19 February 1884. aged 78.

53. (3) Harriet youngest daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Woodgate of this Parish died 20 June 1868 aged 25.

In the 73rd year of his age Blessed are the dead which die in ????? They die in Jesus and are blest How calm their slumbers are From sufferings and from woes released And freed from every snare. Also Sarah Ann his wife who died January 21st 1869 aged 71 years. Born 1793.

   Old WATSON of Shadoxhurst says that Alfred MARTIN was a son of Sarah Ann Martin by a man named VIALL of a farm near Bromley Green. She afterwards married a WOODCOCK and after his death James (Jimmy) LEE a local Weslyan Preacher and is buried with him in Shadoxhurst churchyard. Lee’s fist wife was a RUMMERY of Ham Street. 18 July 1919 Leland Duncan
