Coin
Found by Charlie Capes whilst cleaning back the topsoil just to the north of
the hearth was a bronze coin, a sestertius of Marcus Aurelius, AD 162-163 (TR P
XVII). The reverse shows Salus standing left, feeding snake entwined round an
altar. The catalogue reference is RIC 843 (Roman Imperial Coinage). Rome mint.
