Bargain and Sale
for one year 23 April 1707 (6 Anne)
Parties – William Hammond of St
Albans, Nonington, Kent, Esquire (1) and William Turner of Whiteffryers,
Canterbury, Esquire (2).
William Hammond bargains and sells to William Turner for one year for 5
shillings.
Parcels – All those eight several pieces of land containing together by
estimation 16 acres, 2 yards and 22 perches lying in Nonington, Kent, in a
ffeild commonly called Yesole ffeild in the occupation of William Pain whereof
One piece containeth by estimation 3 acres, 1 yard and 3 perches abutting to
lands of the said William Turner towards the South-East and North to lands of
Richard Rogers and lands late of Thomas Cooper and to lands late of William
Knott towards the West.
One other piece thereof containeth by estimation two acres and abuts to lands of
the said Richard Rogers towards the West and to lands of the said Thomas Cooper
towards the East.
One other piece thereof containeth 3 acres 1 yard and 32 perches and abuts to
the land of the said Richard Rogers towards the South and East to one other
piece parcell of the premises towards the West and to a way there towards the
North.
One other piece thereof containeth one acre and 20 perches and abuts to the last
before mentioned piece and the lands of the said Richard Rogers towards the
South and East and to the lands late of the said Thomas Cooper towards the West.
One other piece thereof containeth by estimation four acres and one yard and
abuts to the lands of the said William Turner towards the South and East and to
the lands late of the said Thomas Cooper towards the North and West.
One other piece thereof containeth 3 yards and 25 perches and doth abut to the
lands of the said William Turner there towards the South West and North.
One other piece thereof containeth 3 yards and 20 perches abutting also to the
lands of the said William Turner there towards the East South and West.
And one other piece thereof containeth by estimation 3 yards and 2 perches
abutting to the lands of Thomas Rye towards the South-East to the lands late of
the said Thomas Cooper towards the North-East and South West and to other lands
belonging to the said William Hammond towards the North-West.
And all other the lands and tenements of the said William Hammond lying and
being in Yesole ffeild aforesaid.
Habendum – 1 year. Rent 1 peppercorn – with intent to lead to a grant to
uses.
