Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

 Johannes BENSON  1753  Rochester Cathedral

The medallion measures 23¼ x 19½ and is cut in relief on a blue ledger stone 78inch x 36½inch in the Nave.

Arms: Erm, on a chevron between three goat’s heads couped, sa, three escallops of the field. Crest: A goat’s head, couped.

Subut hoc marmor requieseit Johannes BENSON A.M. Ecclesiae de Halstow, superiori per Annos triginta duos Pastor Fidelis. Obiit die 10 May 1753 Aetatis 72.
