3. Arms.—Sable, a chevron between three escallops argent, for FAREWELL ; impaling ROUTH. This coat occurs on a slab to the memory of Dorothy Farewell, relict of John Farewell, late oŁ the Inner Temple, London, Esq., by whom he had issue two sons John and Henry. She was the daughter of Sir John Routh of Brenley, Knight, and died 15 August 1666, in her 31st year.
