Will of John CURTMAN of Goodnestone next Wingham 2 August 1525

John CURTMAN, 2 August 1525.
Buried in the churchyard.
High altar 20d. A priest singe for me for a year and have £6.13s.4d. To the reparation of the Church 6s.8d. Light of Allhallows in Church of Chillenden two bushels of barley, and to the two "pikturs" of Our Lady in Church of Chillenden to each a bushel of barley.
Wife Joan have £13.6s.8d. and the same to the child she goeth with.
To my father 20s; to my sister and her four children 20s; my sister Ames and her two children 10s.
Residue after paying debts, etc. to Thomas HAMOND and Thomas CHILDE my Executors, with William COURTMAN my father overseer.
Witnesses – William CORTMAN, William QUYLTER, William HETT.
My lands in Godneston, Norborne, Estri and Chelinden, to the child my wife goeth with when he or she is of lawful age, but if child die, to be sold and money disposed for our souls.
