Abstract of Will from Ebony, Kent from Arthur Hussey’s Manuscripts

Will of Agnes MOSEDEN of Ebony, Kent 9 July 1476

Agnes, wife of William MOSEDEN of Ebbene, 9 July 1476.
Buried in churchyard of St Mary of Ebbene.
Light of St Mary 8d. Light of the Brotherhood there 4d. Light of Magne Crucis 4d. Light of St Stephen 4d.
To Thomas the parish chaplain there 12d.
To Joan my mother my best kyrtyll. To Dionise my sister another kyrtyll. To Lora my sister my cloak of medeley.
Residue after paying debts, etc. to William my husband and he Executor.
Feoffees – Henry NORLAND, Robert GODFREY and Robert ROLFF, to deliver estate to William MOSEDEN my husband of my messuage and three acres of land, and a piece of land called Bereacris and to his heirs.
Also all other lands and tenements for life then to my (sic) children, but if they died then to be sold and money for a priest for my soul in parish church for a year, and have ten marcs; and for a Cope to be bought for the church ten marcs; and to work of parish church of Stone five marcs; and the residue in church of Ebbene.
